Efficient and Flexible Large Industrial Cell Casting
The MAC Industrial COS is a fully automated cast-on-strap machine built for manufacturers who demand precision, repeatability, and high throughput. Every unit is custom designed and engineered ensuring your COS fits your line, process, and production goals.
The Cast-On-Strap Process:
The MAC Industrial COS uses an inlet conveyor which is configured with a lug aligning device to properly position the cells. Then a robot picks up the cells coming from the inlet conveyor, over to the brushing station, then the flux/tin/flux station, into the mold, and finally handing the cast cells off into the case insertion station to be lowered into cases. After insertion, the conveyor takes the cases out of the station and new cases are fed in. The standard robot supplied is capable of lifting approximately 227 kg (500.5 lbs) at a time, and handles 5 to 33 plate cells, either one or two at a time. Larger or smaller robots are also available depending on your needs. Depending on lead configuration and required machine layout, cycle times are 1-2 minutes with either one or two cells each cycle. An optional robot tooling changer (sold separately) can reduce changeover time. The MAC Industrial COS can be arranged to fit your space requirements.
