dynaMAC COS

dynaMAC COS

automatic cast-on-strap battery manufacturing machine

Process 1 to 2 Batteries Per Cycle with the dynaMAC COS

With the dynaMAC COS, the operator loads the elements into the group holder, lugs are aligned and the group holder is turned over. The machine then takes over brushing, fluxing and casting operations while the operator unloads the previously cast elements into the battery containers and loads new elements for the next cycle. The easy change group holders make machine changeovers easier, and faster. Including an element vibrating table, the built-in aligner automatically lines up the lugs and squares the plates of each cell element. The lug surfaces and edges are brushed twice using a fine wire brush to remove oxide without reducing lug thickness or creating deep grooves that could retain wet flux. After brushing, the lugs are dipped in a flux, then forced hot air dries the flux on the lugs. Easy lug entry into mold cavities permits the use of smaller straps, saving lead cost and reducing the internal current resistance of the finished battery. A gravity lead leveling system from the integral lead pot to the mold ensures equal lead flow to each strap cavity.
