MAC FOP (Fixed Orifice Paster)

This is the cast grid model of MAC FOP (Fixed Orifice Paster.) It utilizes a vacuum or mechanical feeder to feed the grids into the MAC FOP. Drive rolls then push the grids between the top and bottom sides of the pasting orifice. Precisely casted and plenished FOP compatible grids are required. Each MAC FOP uses a variable speed independently powered paste dispensing hopper featuring orifice plate type tooling (no trowel roll.) Automatic hold-down clamps secure the hopper to the paster without operator attention. All new MAC Pasters come with a MAC Thick Wall Hopper which is an improved design with new walls and paddle assemblies. Finish rolls have a separate drive to keep the strip properly tensioned between the paste hopper and the finish rolls. The MAC FOP allows pastes cast grids with top and bottom coverage while achieving tight tolerances and high quality.

• Accurate gravity cast grid double sided pasting
• Prevents grid wire corrosion by completely covering the grid wires with paste
• Up to 0.25 mm (0.010 in) top side and bottom side overpaste
• Beltless design eliminates thickness variation that can cause paste inconsistencies
• Easy screw adjustment of the hopper height controls paste thickness side-to-side
• Perfect for AGM products requiring tight plate thickness
• Easily adjusted by variable speed control on independent drives
• Gravity cast plates up to:
  • 170 panels per minute on a vacuum feeder
  • 200 panels per minute on a mechanical feeder
